2021 IPSDC Septic System Basics                                               

4 credit hr,  Credit for A, B, C, DP, Code credit for all other trades

Class will look at the International Private Sewage Disposal Code requirements for onsite wastewater disposal system site selection and construction and what types based upon site conditions. Class focuses on the IPSDC but will provide cross references to the Johnson County and Miami County Kansas Environmental Health Regulations as well as to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment Bulletin 4-2.

• Property lines

• Location of buildings, surface and subsurface water sources and site utilities

• Topography

• Soil evaluation testing methodology

• Septic tank requirements

• Disposal system selection base upon site conditions
