2021 IBC/IRC Post Frame Construction; Design and Construction Concepts

Class will look at the IBC and IRC requirements for post frame construction, what types

Occupancy Classifications they are compatible with and review typical industry standard

designs of this building structure type then look at the Miami County Post Frame

building standard to see how it addresses the design issues.

Class Outline:

•       Review of IBC Chapter 17 and IRC Section R104.11

•       Discussion of required engineering documents

•       Review of post frame components and terminology

•       Review of post frame construction design and construction plans and concepts
